When you feel like you are in crisis, one of the most powerful things to help you regain a sense of control is having someone to listen and support you. Our professional, trained staff, and volunteer mentors will listen to your concerns and answer your questions. Our goal is to provide you with compassionate acceptance, dignity and respect, grace-filled truthfulness, and hopeful encouragement.
Talking to someone who understands
We want every person who walks through our doors to be informed, to be empowered, and to be stronger for having been here. Many of our staff and volunteers have experienced an unplanned pregnancy themselves or have walked alongside someone close to them who has.
Every one of them had someone reach out in their time of need. Others reached out to us in our time of need. Now we want to reach out and be there for you in your time of need.
How can A mentor Help me?
Our mentors are here to listen and lift you up. Whether you need someone to listen to your concerns or someone to help guide you, your mentor will be there to walk alongside you.
All of our mentors are trained and have the knowledge needed to answer your questions with accurate information. Not only can they speak from their personal experiences, but from facts.
countdown to parenthood
The Pregnancy Care Center offers a Countdown to Parenthood program for all clients. It is an earn while you learn curriculum that covers a wide array of topics.
Countdown to Parenthood for expectant mothers and fathers is FREE, confidential, customized mentoring and support offered every two weeks (12 visits required to earn shopping trip). Each 45-60 minute session covers topics most helpful to our client(s). New and experienced parents are eligible to participate.
We use a video-streaming service called BrightCourse for our Countdown to Parenthood program! The lessons are evidence and research-based, easy to understand, and entertaining to watch. We also have BrightCourse in Spanish!
Each week you attend, you earn a bundle of diapers and a small baby item. Throughout the program you earn bonus gifts and a larger baby appliance. After having 12 visits with a mentor, you have earned a free shopping trip in our “Baby Boutique.” At your shopping trip you will receive 10 new outfits for baby, 20 gently used clothing items, diapers, wipes, toiletries, a crib sheet, baby towel, burp cloths, blanket, and other baby essentials (as they are available.)
BOTH mom and dad are able to earn items!
