Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I’m pregnant?

You may be experiencing symptoms such as a missed period, tender breasts, light spotting, or even a feeling of nauseousness, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re pregnant. The easiest way to find out is to take a free in-clinic pregnancy test. Not only is your in-clinic test completely confidential, but we can arrange for you to have a free and confidential ultrasound as well.

How much will my appointment cost?

The Pregnancy Care Center offers all of our services to you free of charge. We want to invest in you, not your wallet. It shouldn’t be a financial burden to get answers and advice.

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely! You are welcome to bring anyone along with you. We understand that having a supportive partner, friend, or even parent can make all the difference. However, we also know that sometimes you find yourself feeling completely alone. If that’s you, let us be the emotional support you need.

Can I be pregnant and have an STD?

Yes, you can. Women who are pregnant can become infected with an STD just the same as women who are not pregnant. Being pregnant and having an STD can be dangerous for both you and your baby. Because many STDs are considered ‘silent’ or have no obvious symptoms, you may not know you are infected. Getting tested immediately is the best choice.

Will my insurance company be notified about my appointment?

Because our services are free, there is nothing to report to an insurance company. Your appointment is completely confidential.

What if I don’t know my next steps?

Our goal at The Pregnancy Care Center is to make sure you are fully informed about all of your options when you learn you are pregnant. No matter what you choose, your next steps will be difficult ones. Let us walk through the process with you so you will be confident you’ve made the right choice for you and your baby.
