Director of Education

The Pregnancy Care Center is seeking applicants for its next Director of Education (30-40 hours/week). The Director of Education is responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of the sexual risk avoidance educational program known as Positive Choices. This includes the training and management of Positive Choices volunteers, as well as oversight and facilitation of the program in schools, churches, and other organizations. Positive Choices uses a holistic approach to teach students how to have sexual integrity and how to make healthy choices based on life-sustaining values.

The ideal candidate will be a committed Christ-follower who demonstrates a personal relationship with Christ as well as a strong pro-life commitment. She should hold a bachelor’s degree or related experience equivalent. Two years experience in a non-profit, in a supervisory or management position is a plus; a background in teaching, coaching, counseling, social work or pastoral work would be helpful in stepping into sexual risk avoidance education. The applicant should exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal communication with attention to detail. Ideally, she would be very comfortable with public speaking with flexibility to adjust to various audiences. This person must be a servant leader to the volunteers and a flexible team player with the staff.
