CLASSES: EQUIPPING YOU FOR THE FUTURE

Once you’ve made the decision to carry and parent or make an adoption plan, The Pregnancy Care Center is committed to empowering you to be ready for what is coming down the road. Our classes are FREE and designed to be informative and interactive in a safe environment with other women or men walking the same journey. All facilitators are compassionate, trained, and available to serve you. At this time, childcare is not available during classes.

PREPARING FOR CHILDBIRTH

In this Nurse-led, single-session class, learn what to expect:

  • During the last weeks of pregnancy

  • When going to the hospital

  • During delivery

  • Navigating pain during labor

NEW BABY- NOW WHAT?

New babies bring new joy as well as new challenges, requiring learning a few survival skills. In this Nurse-led, single session, we’ll discuss:

  • Coming home from the hospital

  • Adapting to a new routine

  • Bonding with your baby

  • Troubleshooting a fussy baby

  • Safety tips that save the day

  • Keeping your head above water

BREASTFEEDING CLASS

In this Nurse-led, single-session class, you will understand the differences between formula and breast milk, explore the benefits of breastfeeding, and learn best practices of nursing effectively.

AGES & STAGES

We want to go past pregnancy and help parents in our community learn specific ways to care for their children. These classes are open to any soon to be parents or parents with children newborn-one year old. At each class, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and meet other parents in the same chapter of life.

HEALTHY SLEEP ROUTINES

Learn tips to help your child form healthy sleep routines.

Thursday, February 6th, 6:00-7:30pm

INFANT & TODDLER NUTRITION 

Taught by a local nutritionist, learn when to introduce solid food and how to make sure your baby has a well-rounded diet.

Thursday, March 13th, 6:00-7:30pm

BABY MILESTONES & DEVELOPMENT

Learn easy sensory development tips and ways to interact with your baby from an Occupational Therapist.

Thursday, April 24th, 6:00-7:30pm

BABY CARE: 1ST YEAR

Taught by a local Family Practice Physician, learn how to recognize signs of sickness, track both physical and behavioral development, and what to expect at doctor's appointments.

Thursday, April 10th, 6:00-7:30pm

COMMUNICATION & FEEDING: SUPPORTING DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONES

Taught by a Pediatric Speech & Language Pathologist, learn how to best support your baby’s speech development at each stage during the first year. You will also learn how to support your baby’s ability to swallow liquids and solids as they grow.

EARN WHILE YOU LEARN

Earn one FREE baby item for each class attended. Baby items include diapers, a pack of wipes, or a new outfit.
